What is AdvisorOS?

AdvisorOS is an AI-native platform built for technology advisors and managed service providers. It combines client management, financial tools, CRM, and AI-powered insights into one platform designed to help you grow your advisory business.

How do I upload contracts and bills?

Log in to your portal, navigate to Contracts or Bills in the sidebar, and click the upload button. You can upload PDFs and images. Our AI automatically extracts vendor names, amounts, dates, and key terms so you don't have to enter data manually.

Can I invite my team?

Yes! If you're an Admin, go to the Team page in your portal. You can invite team members as Admins (full access), Advisors (data access without team management), or Employees (no commission visibility). Each person gets their own login with role-based permissions.

How does commission tracking work?

Navigate to Commissions in your portal. Import commission statements from your carriers and vendors, and AdvisorOS will map them to your client accounts. View monthly breakdowns by service, forecast future revenue, and track trends over time.

Can I generate branded reports for my clients?

Absolutely. Every report, proposal, and PDF generated through AdvisorOS is automatically branded with your organization name. Use the Report Builder for executive summaries, spend analyses, and contract reviews. The AI proposal generator creates professional documents in seconds.

Is my data secure?

Yes. AdvisorOS uses industry-standard encryption, role-based access controls, and requires NDA signing before portal access. Each advisor's data is sandboxed to their assigned organizations. We support two-factor authentication for additional security.

What does the AI assistant (Ace) do?

Ace is your AI-powered advisor assistant. It can analyze your client data, answer questions about contracts and spending, generate insights and recommendations, and help you prepare for client meetings with relevant data points.

How do I connect Advisor OS to Claude, Cursor, or another AI agent?

The Advisor OS MCP server lets any tool that speaks the Model Context Protocol (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Windsurf, Zed, the OpenAI and Anthropic Agent SDKs, n8n, and more) read your live pipeline, contracts, commissions, and clients. Generate a personal access token in Settings → Tokens, drop it into your client's MCP config, and restart. The full walkthrough is in our MCP setup guide.

What can the MCP server do, and what can't it do?

By default the server is read-only: it can list deals, look up clients, fetch contracts, and query commission data, all scoped to your role. Write tools (create deal, update contract, send notification) are off by default and have to be enabled per-token. Tokens can never see beyond your existing role permissions, every tool call is logged, and you can revoke a token from settings instantly.
